Li Yi-Fan is a contemporary artist whose practice explores the relationship between image-making technologies, perception, and narrative. Working with game engines, real-time rendering, and self-developed software, he creates immersive digital animations that examine how technological systems shape the production and circulation of images. Rather than relying on commercial tools, Li constructs his own image-making platforms, treating software not simply as a medium but as a site of artistic inquiry.

His works combine materials drawn from video games, digital asset libraries, and online image cultures to create layered virtual environments that blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. Through these hybrid worlds, Li investigates the political and emotional dimensions of digital imaging, questioning how technical infrastructures influence communication, memory, and subjective experience. Balancing conceptual rigour with dark humour and experimentation, his practice offers a critical reflection on the evolving role of technology in shaping contemporary visual culture and the ways we understand and navigate the world.
