Marc Kokopeli is an artist working across sculpture, installation, and moving image whose practice explores the intersections of childhood, popular culture, and contemporary capitalism. Drawing on the visual language of cartoons, educational programming, advertising, and early digital culture, he transforms familiar imagery into installations that explore identity, memory, nostalgia, and systems of social conditioning. Through humour, repetition, and absurdity, Kokopeli considers how entertainment, education, and consumer culture shape psychological development from an early age.

A defining aspect of his work is the incorporation of obsolete media technologies, including CRT televisions, novelty television sets, and other outdated audiovisual devices. These objects function as both sculptural forms and conceptual tools, evoking the material environments through which previous generations encountered media. By combining ageing technologies with digital animation and found footage, Kokopeli creates installations that oscillate between playful familiarity and critique, exposing the ideological structures embedded within everyday cultural experience.
